Memories
Tonight we got to spend some time with my extended family. I had a good time – it kind of got me thinking about memories I had of good times and beautiful moments. It got me thinking about a sunset a few years ago.

This was probably the most amazing sunset I have ever seen, and I am very fortunate to have taken a picture. I love how the sky and clouds reach down into the water, with only the trees to suggest a horizon.
The river is the Amazon, near the city of Iquitos in Peru. I spent 2 months in Peru as part of a short-term missions internship in 2003 with Mission to the World.
This is a BEAUTIFUL sunset picture! Great photography. One thing I’d do to “tweak” the picture… if you’ve got Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, open the picture, go to “Levels…” and change the number in the left hand box from “0″ to “25.” It will bring out more of the dark tones in the sunset.
